I'm trying to determine my size - i'm 170 lbs and 6'1", which puts me in the range of US L and XL. L would be on par with my weight, but XL would be on par with my height.
Wondering if there is advice on which size i should be getting.

Thanks for the message.
Given your height and weight I can say that our US L is a good fit, but since you are 6'1 it will be a bit short, I suggest that you check the total length of the item.
This is based on general size chart we are using in our shop for normal body built (not fat or muscular). It does not guarantee 100% free of size discrepancy, as body built varies.
But, it works most of the time for our customers.
Here is general size info.
-US S size = ~5'7", 135 lbs
-US M size = ~5'9", 155 lbs
-US L size = ~5'11", 175 lbs
-US XL size = ~6'1", 195 lbs
