Hi i would like to get a better understanding of your sizes.
I am 5'9" 190 pounds. i have a solid athletic build. more american football athletic then soccer. i wear a size 42 or 44 in suit jackets
which size should i purchase to achieve a regular but fitting style?

I am sorry but I think we will be having a hard time checking the right size for you.
Your weight suggest us of US XL, but then your height suggest us of US M only. You fall between two sizes.
This is based on general size chart we are using in our shop for normal body built (not fat or muscular).
It does not guarantee 100% free of size discrepancy, as body built varies.
But, it works most of the time for our customers.
Here is general size info.
-US S size = ~5'7", 135 lbs
-US M size = ~5'9", 155 lbs
-US L size = ~5'11", 175 lbs
-US XL size = ~6'1", 195 lbs
