Hello! I\'m wondering what size I should get. He is very skinny but tall. Typically wears a US small. Thank you!

We do size recommendations based on the height and weight of the buyer.
But given the fact that the person you want to buy this item for is Tall and Slim type, he will basically fall in two sizes.
Here is our general size info.
-US S size = ~5'7", 135 lbs
-US M size = ~5'9", 155 lbs
-US L size = ~5'11", 175 lbs
-US XL size = ~6'1", 195 lbs
If we will consider his height, it will be on the size that will fit his height but it will be too loose for his body.
As for his weight, it will fit his body well but I'm afraid that it may be short for his height.
Since he is TALL and SLIM type, I will strongly suggest to check the size chart of the item especially it's LENGTH in each size.
You can check the size chart of an item for the specific measurement of an item in their specific sizes available for further reference.
In there, you will have further details about the measurement of chest, shoulder, sleeve, and total length of the item in each sizes.

But, in this case he need to check the size measurement carefully, especially the total length and sleeve length.
You have no option but to check the measurement.
Because he is tall and slim :(
